Professor
Gokhan Memik is on the faculty at Northwestern University as
an Assistant Professor, Wissner-Slivka Junior Chair in
Computer Science in the Department of
Electrical
Engineering and Computer Science. He received his
B.S. in Computer Engineering from Bogazici University in
Turkey, M.S. in Computer Engineering from Northwestern
University, and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from UCLA in
2003 under the guidance of Professor William Mangione-Smith.
His expertise is in the field of Computer architecture, in
particular microarchitecture. His group works on holistic
architectures, which include Application-specific processors
(architectures for networking, data mining), Physical-aware
architectures (architectures for minimizing the power
consumption, temperature, and effects of process |
